The Saskatchewan Blind Sports Association is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization that facilitates provincial, national, and international sport opportunities for Saskatchewan residents who are legally blind or visually impaired.  Saskatchewan Blind Sports Association was found in 1978.  

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Saskatchewan Blind Sports Association is to promote and facilitate sport opportunities towards excellence for persons who are legally blind or visually impaired, by delivering sport programs, creating awareness, and advocating for sport inclusion.

Vision Statement

That all persons who are blind and partially sighted have equal access to programs, training, competition and that SBSA facilitated the awareness/resources and implementation stages to support that access.

The Saskatchewan Blind Sports Association continually strives to improve accessibility for our current members, and create awareness for those who are blind and unaware of the possibilities that are available to them.  

  Public Awareness

Public awareness and education are key components of achieving inclusion of blind and visually impaired athletes into mainstream society.  SBSA is happy to offer educational presentations to schools, universities, community organizations, and sporting associations.  Contact the SBSA now to learn more about how we can contribute to your group.
